Believing in UCB

Our annual Stewardship Campaign is underway.  As Rev. Edmund said in his sermon on March 21, making a pledge of financial support is a way to express our belief in UCB.   Just like when the audience in Peter Pan was asked to express their belief in Tinkerbell, each year we are all asked to express our belief in UCB by pledging our financial support to fund our operations.

Pledges are important because they form the basis for us to plan salaries and other expenses here at UCB.  Unlike many religious denominations, Unitarian Universalist congregations are independent and entirely self-sustaining. We, the Unitarian Church of Barnstable, rely on the financial support of our congregation to pay our staff, offer all our programs and maintain our historic building. This church belongs to each of us. As members and friends, we pledge to fund the daily operations and to ensure that the church and its resources are here for us and for others, now and in the future.

We are digital again this year. All you have to do is send an email to our Treasurer, Dan Ewing or call him at 781-801-2311 with your pledge amount.

Please consider how you value UCB in your own life and pledge what you can.  If you would prefer to receive paper pledge card, just let Dan know and we’ll mail one out to you.
