Stewardship Campaign Information 2022-2023

Believing in UCB

Our annual Stewardship Campaign is underway.  As Kristen said in her sermon on March 6, “This is the time when we make our financial commitment very real to this place, to its vision, its mission, and its ministry. Whether you give or how much you give is a choice. It’s a decision and a commitment to deepening and spreading the miracle of love. As the stone soup story shares, each of us will give differently depending on our situation, but when we all give something a beautiful and healthy community thrives."

Pledges are important because they form the basis for us to plan salaries and other expenses here at UCB.  Unlike many religious denominations, Unitarian Universalist congregations are independent and entirely self-sustaining. We, the Unitarian Church of Barnstable, rely on the financial support of our congregation to pay our staff, offer all our programs, pay our utility bills, purchase office and cleaning supplies, and pay for routine building maintenance and repairs, as well as grass cutting and snow plowing services. This church belongs to each of us. As members and friends, we pledge to fund the daily operations and to ensure that the church and its resources are here for us and for others, now and in the future.

We are digital again this year. All you have to do is send an email to our Treasurer, Dan Ewing or call him at 781-801-2311 with your pledge amount.

Please consider UCB’s value in your own life and its importance as a community resource when making your pledge. If you would prefer to receive a paper pledge card, just let Dan know and we’ll mail one out to you.
