Social Justice Committee
We are all about taking action on social and environmental justice issues. If you are interesed in being part of the SJC, please join us for our monthly meetings, after church services, on the second Sunday of each month in the Library of the church.
Also, join us the last Friday of each month at 6 P.M. for dinner and a movie in Warren Hall for the Cobb's Hill Community Series. Discussions follow the films which are provided free of charge.
Issues that have engaged us
- Local Economics and Community
- Social Well-Being and Human Rights
- Ecology and the Environment
- Animal Welfare
The SJC is receptive to any ideas that raise consciousness and awareness about social and environmental justice issues and inspire action to effect positive, systemic change. If you have an idea for a film, presentation, or campaign, please come to our meetings and pave a way for your vision to come to life!
We meet one Sunday per month. New members and new ideas are always welcome.
