Worship Committee
The
Worship Committee supports the Minister in planning the content and
structure of worship services in an effort to make worship a positive
spiritual experience for church members, visitors, and guests alike.
The committee gathers feedback about worship services from the
congregation through inquiries and surveys and makes suggestions for
improvement based on that feedback, as well as their own ideas. They
also find pulpit speakers to fill in when the Minister is away and
recruit volunteers to perform parts of regular worship services at the
Minister’s request. Other duties include planning and conducting or
facilitating occasional lay-led worship services, recruiting the head
usher, and helping with practical matters such as the sound system and
heat. The Minister of Music and the head usher are closely aligned with
the committee and its goals.
