WORSHIP SERVICES
Sundays at 10:30 am

Reverend Dr. Kristen Harper

“I welcome you to join this vibrant, intergenerational community.
~ Reverend Dr. Kristen Harper

Unitarian Church of Barnstable

Here, all are welcome,
all are seen, and
all are invited to rise
together in spirit and purpose.

Get Involved by Helping Out

Just as at any non-profit organization, there are lots of jobs that need doing. But even better is helping out at a faith community where you are working with folks who are also on a journey to discover their best selves. Working together is a wonderful way to get to know and appreciate each other

  • Co-host Coffee Hour with an experienced host. This is a great way to connect faces and names.

  • Sing in the choir. All are welcome!

  • Join a Small Group Ministry. These are small groups that meet regularly to discuss religious or life experiences in greater depth.
  • Help with a Children and Youth Ministry event.

  • Bake scones. Making and selling scones is a major fundraiser for UCB.

  • Usher. You’ll be paired with an experienced usher.

  • Provide flowers for Sunday service.

  • Participate in Social Justice activities. From standouts to post carding, there are many options to make a difference in the wider community.

  • Take care of our littlest ones in the nursery.

  • Help with Saturday Scone sales from June through October. You will meet other members of UCB as well as folks from the wider community.

  • Volunteer to work at the Holiday Fair on the first Sunday in December.

  • Join a committee.

  • Bake for St. Joseph’s House shelter. Each month, church members prepare a meal which feeds 60 people at a local homeless shelter.

  • Join Caring Connections. Send cards or bake for those who are not able to come to church.

Our Justice for All group meets on the first Wednesday at 12:30 in Warren Hall – all are welcome to join in. And, if you have an idea for how to help at UCB, please use the contact form to send us your idea.
